Attribution and modification notice

FiveThirtyEight RAPTOR: Contains data from FiveThirtyEight’s “nba-raptor” dataset, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Source: pinned nba-raptor repository snapshot.

Modified by Build A Hooper: records and columns are filtered, data types are normalized, identities are matched to pinned Wikidata QIDs, and selected metrics may be transformed into versioned site-created game inputs. FiveThirtyEight does not endorse Build A Hooper.

Independent project: Build A Hooper is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NBA, any NBA team, or any player. No league or team logos, player photos, jerseys, official fonts, broadcast media, or official trade dress are used.

Approved display fields

Text-only player identity and limited structured facts may include a Wikidata QID-backed English name, historical position statements, height in centimetres, and birth year. Missing fields stay missing. Photos, likenesses, uniforms, logos, team branding, official fonts and remote media are not used.

Version and release state

The production release uses dataset real-local-2022-v1 with method bah-original-bands-v1. It contains a frozen 33-player historical sample, not a complete roster or ranking. The application fails closed if its approved production manifest, dataset hash, scope, or version set does not match the bound database.

Fail-closed environment boundary

The API summary below is environment-authoritative. A fixture environment remains synthetic; the accepted historical dataset remains local/internal and does not authorize deployment, indexing, public release, current-data claims, or public join identifiers.
